4300 Grafts at Six Weeks Post Op

This is just a follow up on our patient who had 4300 grafts. He has sent in his six week post op photos and is really looking great.

You will notice that his skin appears reddened, as if he has a sunburn. This occasionally happens during the longer and larger sessions. There may be a slight skin discoloration that clears over a few weeks to two months after surgery. This discoloration always resolves with enough time.

Along with the photos, he sent an email that I want to share with you all.

“As predicted I have shed some original hair and some transplanted hair so actually look balder than ever. Got my hair cut short the other day so that adds to the bald look. The shedding seems to have slowed so maybe things will turn around slowly. The donor area is still a bit tender but much better than 2 weeks ago. It seemed to start getting better once the stitch was taken out. The most painful part of the whole process was getting the stitch out.”

In the next couple of months, he will begin to see hair regrowth. Keep checking here for updates on his great new look.
